I don't know whether I am an Obama fan, or not, he hasn't done anything yet. But I do love our system of government, and the seamless way we transition power. It is graceful and dignified, like all the parties involved.

I love that Michelle Obama brought Laura Bush a hostess gift. Even when you are moving into the White House, on the day when you might most be forgiven for being stressed or otherwise involved, she doesn't forget good manners. That's one classy lady.

What would you get for a two-term first lady, anyway? Change of address cards? Thank you notes?
